The Washington Home
has served generations of Washingtonians for more than a century. We are a private, nonprofit, nondenominational residence designed to care for men and women who need special health services in their adult years.
Located in Washington, DC., we offer long-term care at our residence. We also deliver nursing services to clients in their homes. And drawing on our tradition of providing compassionate care for people moving toward the close of life, we provide hospice inpatient and home care for the terminally ill. All of our facilities are licensed under the laws of the District of Columbia.
Services are available to people 18 years of age or older. Eligibility is determined during an assessment conducted by a registered nurse in your own home, a nursing home, or hospital. If you do not live in the Washington area, the assessment is conducted over the phone. Home care is available only to residents of Washington, D.C.
