We can edit a complicated manuscript skillfully without losing data or the author's style.
Mud, Muscle, and Miracles
The first comprehensive history of naval salvage
Author: Captain C.A. Bartholomew, USN
Editor: Shirley Sirota Rosenberg
Design: Ronna Hammer
Tasks:
Consult, design, substantive editing, copyediting, proofreading, Fresh Eye, production
Our job
Edit the manuscript, preserving the colorful personality of the author, the Navy's supervisor of salvage. SSR also designed the book, oversaw the entire publication process, and developed a public relations plan.
The book was favorably reviewed in the Washington Post and the Naval Institute Proceedings.
The National Geographic had already filmed Bartholomew for a contemplated National Geographic Society feature when word came that Bart had drowned during a test salvage operation.
